Through Their Lens is a project focused on putting cameras in the hands of autistic individuals and allowing them to capture the world as they see it.

Photography doesn’t have to follow rules to be meaningful. A photo of a streetlight, a cup on a table, or a shadow on the wall can hold beauty and significance depending on who is looking.

My brother, who is severely autistic, often takes photos on his iPod. They aren’t always what most people would consider traditional photography, but they are honest glimpses into how he experiences the world.

This project is about embracing that perspective. By encouraging autistic individuals to freely capture what catches their attention, we can share a view of the world that many people might otherwise never notice. 100% of the donations will go to Autism Speaks

Thank you!
